The Process:

We first run all of your microphone and instrument inputs into a Yamaha M7CL Digital Mixing console. After adjusting the inputs, the signals are individually sent out, via the digital ADAT cards, to an Alesis HD24 Digital Multi-track recorder. There the microphones and instruments are recorded separately onto their own tracks (up to 24). Then we record your entire show.

The recorded material is then transferred into a computer where it is made into individual .wav files that can be put onto a DVD for the client. The client also has the option of choosing to have Village Sound make a stereo mix of the recorded material using their in-house Pro Tools 8 Recording and Mixing Workstation. All prices for recording, transferring, and mixing are determined on a per project basis.

Additionally, Village Sound can provide basic in-house Mastering services to even out and bring up the overall volume of the final stereo 2-track mix; making it CD-Ready to be duplicated.

We also hold a Studio Account with Discmakers allowing us to replicate, duplicate, or make short order runs of your recorded material at a price less then it would cost you to do it yourself.
